Man if you want to look younger and not homeless go get your hair cut by John Pronkoski over at the Olentangy location. The most insightful and professional barber I’ve ever had cut my hair. Exceeded my expectations. I walked in to Bates & Brown thinking I was just getting a haircut. This shit is a whole experience! hot towels, knowledge provided to maintain thinning hair, and even a massage. Good god man that was cool 20/10 will come back to John for a cut.
My husband has gone here twice, once with John and once with Autumn. They both did a great job on his cut- highly recommend adding the facial too! Beautiful interior of the shop. 10/10 experience.
I asked Marisa to help me come up with new style for my hair and she did a great job! I'm always happy to come to Bates and Brown. The atmosphere is incredible. Also being greeted and checked out by Olivia is great she is always in a great mood and makes the transactions seamless.
Issac is my favorite stylist here. I have been going to him for years and he always does a great job. If you need your hair looking good to impress your date he is your guy! I would highly recommend him to anyone here!!!
First time going to this location. Autumn was very nice and after talking through what I wanted, she did an amazing job. Would recommended Bates and Brown to anyone looking for a quality cut and I will be going back!
The place was fantastic. Staff is awesome and everyone was happy and smiling. Met with a drink. Atmosphere was great, it looks like an old school barber shop. It's super cool will be going back for sure. Alyssa did my hair and beard and killed it! Such a great job. I'll look like a brand new man. 10/10 would and will recommend. THIS IS THE SPOT!!! Little hard to find but come on. Google it.
I've gotten a great cut both times I've gone there. The price is high, but when you schedule online, you know what you're getting into, so there are no surprises. The value is also high. For me, I go to Bates & Brown when I have an event or vacation coming up and I want to look good and feel good. The in-between trims are done by my wife at home. You get what you pay for! (And my free trims from my wife at home, I also get what I pay for ;) ) JoAnn was excellent this last time on my hair and beard.
I had always seen this place going to micro center. I always assumed that it was a restaurant of some sort. Went to micro center again after leaving I decided I wanted a haircut and looked up places to get a haircut. Low and behold this place showed up 450 ft away. Upon pulling up I was absolutely wowed by the front doors as they were solid wood the entrance way smelled heavily of cedar which I absolutely love. Walking through the second set of doors. Your senses are overwhelmed by the smells of an old style barbershop. Cedar oak old repurposed leather furniture absolutely beautiful interior. The service was amazing greeted immediately at the front desk. Offered to see if they had open availabilities right there which they did not but they got me in at a decent time a couple hours later. The service was absolutely wonderful barbers with multiple years experience an old style hot towel treatment shoulder and scalp massages available. Along with a massage parlor in the back which is an absolutely beautiful room. Upon sitting down in The barbers chair I was offered something to drink which I respectfully declined so I cannot tell you what they have. They offer a multitude of different types of facial grooming from beard trims to straight razor shave. An absolutely wonderful experience all the way around definitely a five-star establishment for anybody that wants an old style barber experience and not just getting your haircut. I do personally recommend that you ask for John going in that man has decades of experience.
